How to get through the Vietnam-Laos border without a visa
1: Queue up to hand over your passport
2: Fill in a form
3: Get a receipt
4: Go to another counter to pay the visa fee in US dollar
5: Get a receipt
6: Fill in a form
7: Hand over your passport+form
8: Pay a new fee (only this time you have to pay in Kip (Laos currency), which you don't have since you're entering Laos, therefore you must go to another counter first to exchange your money at a really bad rate)
9: Get your passport back
10: Discover that someone has lost your departure card
11: Fill inn a new departure card
12: Finished!
(Only takes 2-3 hours)
